Step into this Forest Landscape, which highlights the wonders of nature with it's main focus on the different textures of tree trunks in the foreground (using mainly palette knives to achieve the wonderous thick layers of oil paint textures). As you gaze a little deeper, lurking in the background is the misty and mysterious distant forest with just hints of sunlight peering through.
 
As an impressionistic landscape artist, I really enjoyed working with different textures, light and shade in this piece to achieve depth in the background and a 3D effect in the foreground.
